Sales Specialist - Metals
Drive commercial growth within the Metals sector by executing a value-led sales strategy, deepening market expertise, and cultivating strong client relationships.
What you will be doing
In this role you will be focused on driving revenue growth within a specific area, like a sector, an industry or a persona, by expanding on existing client relationships and developing new business. They achieve this through a combination of strategic sales planning, proactive outreach, and strong product/market knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy: Contributing and executing a sales strategy to grow revenue within a defined territory (Europe) or client base.
Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales growth targets for your set of services (Metal services).
Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key users, understand their needs, be their trusted advisor, and provide solutions.
Product Knowledge: Possessing in-depth knowledge of Argus services and market landscape, enabling to act as trusted advisors throughout the sales cycle. Expert at communicating value proposition to clients.
Value Proposition: Developing a strong understanding of the value proposition for our offerings and communicate clearly to commercial team members (i.e. Account managers, Client success managers), product managers/Sector and Marketing. Keeping abreast of any service changes and how those add to the value proposition.
Collaboration: Cross-functionally with the various Sales teams, Product Managers, Client Services, and Marketing to drive sales initiatives.
Market Awareness: Keeping abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that impact their territory.
What we're looking for
Skills and Experience
Sales Experience: Proven track record of 5-10 years successful sales experience, with complex solutions and in a competitive environment.
Market Experience: Experience in the commodity markets, particularly in the specific area of focus (Non-ferrous, Rare earth, Battery metals, ferrous).
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for building relationships and presenting solutions.
Relationship Building: Ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve client issues and challenges.
Product Knowledge: Understanding our products and services and how they benefit our various clients. Contributing to product roadmap development based on client feedback.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve sales performance.
Travel: Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time to visit clients and attend meetings and conferences
