Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking for a high-performing Strategic Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of strategic enterprise customers across the commodities and energy ecosystem.
The role is responsible for driving customer retention, revenue growth, executive engagement, and long-term partnership development. The successful candidate will apply consultative and value-based selling approaches to align Argus solutions with customer business objectives and measurable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Own and execute strategic account plans for assigned key customers.
Build trusted relationships with stakeholders ranging from end users to C-suite executives.
Develop a deep understanding of customer priorities, challenges, growth strategies, and market dynamics.
Retain and grow recurring revenue through cross-sell, upsell, and expansion opportunities.
Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, renewals, and complex sales cycles.
Apply value-based selling principles to articulate and quantify business outcomes, ROI, risk mitigation, and operational benefits.
Develop customer-specific business cases and value propositions that align Argus solutions to strategic objectives.
Conduct Executive Business Reviews and demonstrate realized customer value throughout the lifecycle.
Partner with Product, Editorial, Consulting, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to maximize customer outcomes.
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, account intelligence, and activity records within Argus CRM.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, strategic account management, business development, or customer success.
Proven track record of achieving revenue retention and growth targets within complex customer environments.
Experience engaging and influencing senior business leaders and executive stakeholders.
Strong consultative, solution-oriented, and customer-centric selling skills.
Ability to build business cases and communicate measurable commercial value to decision makers.
Experience in commodities, energy, market intelligence, analytics, information services, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses is advantageous.
Experience with value-based selling or similar sales methodologies will be highly advantageous.
