What will you be doing?
This role actively defends the Argus visual brand, follows processes to facilitate creating assets, and works across multiple asset types and templates to create engaging and creative assets for marketing needs. The person in this role must be able to clearly articulate creative concepts, illustrate and visualize ideas whilst also understanding and recommending the various asset types and placement/distribution routes that create maximum impact with our target audiences.
You will be participating in innovative solutions: Testing, adopting and mainstreaming new technologies and content tools (such as platforms to create web embeds or interactive content) to ensure our message resonates with the customer as well as meets the evolving needs of the department and company. Also, coordinating with team leadership and colleagues to enforce processes; speaking up and brainstorming with team leadership if there is a chance for process improvement.
Roles and responsibilities
Create marketing and corporate assets across print, digital, event and motion formats, including infographics, brochures, flyers, advertisements, social assets, digital banners, email graphics, event print graphics, presentations, motion graphics, video-led content such as explainer videos.
Maintain organised libraries of stock imagery, iconography, templates, source files and design working files, ensuring appropriate version control and adherence to file-management standards.
Develop and maintain scalable, brand-compliant template systems in Adobe Express and InDesign for use by wider Marketing teams and Production Editors in other departments. Provide clear handover materials, asset libraries, usage guidance and ongoing support to enable efficient creation of high-quality templated assets.
Work closely and effectively with a global Design team and team leadership to share knowledge, feedback, inspiration and best practices, and maintaining strong relationships and clear communication across regions and time zones.
Act as a guardian of the Argus visual brand, working closely with the Brand Specialist, Design team, and Marketing leadership to identify opportunities to strengthen, refine and evolve the visual identity.
Partner with Marketing, Commercial and other stakeholders across multiple regions, time zones and business areas, ensuring creative work is relevant, effective and aligned to both global brand standards and local market needs.
Driving brainstorming discussions with stakeholders to define and clarify objectives, using strong creative conceptual thinking and judgement to determine the best ways to meet those objectives, including challenging briefs where a stronger solution is possible.
Manage multiple concurrent projects and effectively prioritizing requests according to marketing or corporate needs and the requestor.
Participating in innovative solutions: Testing, adopting and mainstreaming new tools and platforms (such as platforms to create web embeds or interactive content, and emerging AI-enabled creative tools) to meet the evolving needs of the department and company
Skill & experience
5+ years as a graphic designer or in a similar creative role. BSc/BA in advertising, fine art, design or relevant field. Language: Fluency in English is a requirement; fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese or Mandarin is considered a benefit.
Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Adobe Express. Experience with Premiere Pro is beneficial.
Experience creating practical, user-friendly Adobe Express and InDesign templates for non-design users, with an understanding of how to balance brand control, flexibility and ease of use.
Demonstrable experience creating both static graphic design and motion design, with a portfolio that shows strong conceptual thinking, visual craft and versatility across channels.
Experience adapting design for different formats and audiences, including print, digital advertising, social media, web, email, events and large-format environmental graphics and multiple marketing platforms.
Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, colour, visual hierarchy, brand systems and print/digital production requirements.
Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to explain a creative rationale clearly and constructively.
