Reporter - Hydrogen | Delhi

We are currently looking for a reporter to join our global editorial team covering the emerging market for hydrogen and related future fuels.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, inquisitive, numerate and literate individual to develop expertise in a developing but potentially huge new low-carbon energy market. The focus will be on the low-carbon hydrogen sectors development across Asia, with a particular focus on India.
You will have a passion for understanding how complex systems work and will relish the prospect of developing your skills in a role that melds data-driven analysis with traditional relationship-based reporting.
Your role will include engaging with industry participants, policymakers and investors, reporting and writing news and analysis, and helping support Argus development of its hydrogen and future fuel pricing. The environment is fast paced but values careful thought. You will enjoy collaborative work with colleagues from a range of backgrounds, many located in Argus other offices around the globe.
There are opportunities to travel and attend industry events, and to develop networks/specific market knowledge, as well as to present at
industry conferences and lead webinar sessions.
The role would be ideally suited to a dynamic and curious self-starter with an interest in the energy transition, and who enjoys cultivating sources as well as reporting and writing news and analysis.
What will you be doing
Track developments in the Asian low-carbon hydrogen sector to produce news, analysis and support the development of our hydrogen and future fuel pricing.
Regular contact with industry and market participants, investors and policymakers to build contact relationships, report news and analysis, stay on top of developments and break exclusive off-diary stories .
Find engaging ways to explain complex issues including using charts and graphics as appropriate.
Help to build and curate data sets that help explain market dynamics
Attend meetings, conferences and industry events to build contacts, report on news and represent Argus.
Skills and Experience
Educated to Bachelors degree level from a leading university
Previous experience in business/data journalism or in energy
Ability to develop, source and write industry relevant news to deadline
Knowledge of the energy and commodity sectors useful but not essential • Excellent writing, grammar and numeracy skills (these will be tested as part of the interview process)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to network and build contacts with industry executives
Strong co-ordination and time management skills
Additional languages useful but not essential
Proficiency/experience working with Excel

This is a full-time position operating under a hybrid model, with three days in the office and two days working remotely. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 18:00, with a one-hour lunch break.
