What we’re looking for
Argus produces commercial conferences for the energy and commodities markets. We specialise in agriculture, chemicals, crude oil, energy transition, fertilizers, generation fuels, LPG, metals, oil products. Argus has dedicated conference teams in Houston, London, Moscow, Sao Paulo, Shanghai and Singapore, running a global portfolio of 40+ events.
Working as a key member of the conference team, you will develop databases for conferences identifying the most appropriate contacts and telephoning them to sell delegate places. You will conduct research and liaise internally with Argus staff to identify the people and organisations that should be attending the conference and contact them to ensure their attendance.

What will you be doing The Sponsorship Sales Support role exists to keep deals, data and compliance accurate, consistent and under control so that the sales team can focus on selling and leadership can confidently rely on the numbers. This role is essential in maintaining high-quality data, ensuring process compliance, and supporting operational efficiency across the sponsorship sales cycle.
Salesforce & Deal Administration
• Create, update and maintain opportunities, products, pricing, and inventory in Salesforce.
• Own and execute all backend Salesforce tasks, workflows and system fixes.
• Process upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and all sponsorship contract change requests.
• Always keep deal records accurate and updated.
• Act as the first point of contact for sales queries related to Salesforce, data issues, or deal entry.
• Run KYC / Screening checks on new/changed Accounts, manage resulting KYC cases in Salesforce, and hand-off/track with Compliance to closure. Keep Account/Opportunity statuses in sync with approvals.
Sponsor Onboarding & Compliance
• Coordinate and complete onboarding for key sponsors, ensuring all documentation and internal steps are fulfilled.
• Conduct manual compliance check for all relevant sponsors and partners.
• Complete vendor qualification forms, documentation, and follow-up with internal stakeholders where required.
• Liaise with the legal team on the client with any requested contract amendments.
Data Integrity & Reporting
• Handle ad-hoc data pulls and reporting requests for management, finance, and operations teams.
• Maintain and regularly update the Conference Master, deal trackers, and other sales support databases.
• Ensure all sponsorship records, trackers and dashboards consistently reflect accurate real-time data.
Sales Operational Support
• Work closely with sales leads, operations and finance to ensure sponsorship deals move smoothly through internal workflows.
• Flag data discrepancies, compliance issues or commercial risks promptly and propose corrective action.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across sales processes, data governance and systems.
Cross-Team Collaboration
• Work closely with Operations to ensure sold sponsorship items are delivered correctly (branding, digital placements, onsite activations, etc.).
• Liaise with Marketing to ensure sponsor logos, profiles and assets are correct and up to date.
• Assist with pre-event and post-event data coordination.
Skills and Experience
• 3+ years in a sales support, operations, CRM administration or similar role.
• Prior experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform is desirable.
• Exposure to media, events or sponsorship businesses is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field preferred.

Hours
This is a full-time position operating under a hybrid model, with three days in the office and two days working remotely. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 18:00, with a one-hour lunch break.
