What we’re looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Finance Systems and Automation Lead to drive the transformation of finance operations through intelligent automation and advanced technologies. This role will focus on streamlining core workflows such as Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R), embedding AI-driven solutions, and leveraging Microsoft Power Platform and other tools to future-proof our finance processes. Your mission is to reduce cycle times, improve data accuracy and controls, and unlock efficiency through automation, AI agents, and robust integrations
The successful candidate will collaborate with finance stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, design scalable solutions, and integrate AI agents (including Microsoft Copilot) into the finance tech stack to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.
What will you be doing
Solution Development:
· Build and maintain custom applications using Power Apps, automate workflows with Power Automate
· Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to improve visibility of key finance metrics.
· Integrate solutions with ERP, CRM, and external APIs for seamless data flow and workflow engines; improve master data quality and reconciliation.
AI Integration:
· Embed Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools into finance workflows to improve automation logic and user experience.
· Design and implement Copilot Studio solutions for predictive insights and anomaly detection.
Process Optimisation:
· Partner with finance teams to identify inefficiencies in O2C, P2P, and R2R processes.
· Develop automation strategies that reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and strengthen controls.
Stakeholder Engagement:
· Work closely with finance leads and teams to gather requirements and validate solutions.
· Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Governance & Documentation:
· Maintain best practices for solution architecture, data security, and compliance.
· Document workflows and provide training to end users.
Continuous Improvement:
· Stay current with Power Platform updates, AI trends, and finance transformation strategies.
· Drive adoption of new tools and techniques across the finance organisation.
Skills and Experience
Technical Expertise:
· Extensive experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, ideally in a finance or enterprise environment.
· Proven track record of building complex automations and integrating Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Dataverse) and external APIs.
AI & Automation Skills:
· Strong understanding of Microsoft Copilot capabilities and experience implementing Copilot Studio solutions.
· Familiarity with AI-driven finance use cases (e.g., smart dunning, anomaly detection, GL coding suggestions).
Finance Knowledge:
· Solid understanding of finance processes such as reconciliations, billings, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
