Argus is where smart people belong and where they can grow. We answer the challenge of illuminating markets and shaping new futures.
The Analytics & Consulting team is part of Argus Media — the largest independent energy publisher in the world. We provide clients with customised analysis, research, data and commentary services on international energy markets. Our work is firmly focused on markets — their structure, logistics and economics. Analytics & Consulting draws on Argus’ key strengths — energy markets expertise, global networks and proprietary databases — in order to deliver real client value.
The team has two divisions. Analytics produces a range of subscription-based forecasting products, which provide an outlook for market fundamentals and price over the short and long term, for many of the commodities Argus covers. The Consulting side undertakes tailor-made commissioned assignments for a wide variety of clients and across various sectors including oil & gas, chemicals, fertilizers, hydrogen, biofuels and energy transition solutions.

The Analytics part of the business has grown substantially over recent years, becoming a large portfolio that delivers significant revenue to the business. Our products provide clients with forecasts for price and market fundamentals over the short, medium and long term. Chemicals is a key component of our offering and one that we believe can be a major driver of our future growth aspirations. This growth will come through enhancement of existing services and development of new products. There is also opportunity to look at new delivery channels and extend the use of Data Science and AI to add value for customers.
To support the future growth of the portfolio, we are now looking for someone to lead our global Chemical Analytics team, comprised of subject matter experts and analysts that deliver long and short term market analysis to our clients. The person will work with individual areas to drive forward our strategy, prioritise opportunities and provide direction and support to implementation. They will work with other Analytics teams and senior stakeholders from across the business, to ensure there is consistency in approach and that the products support the wider strategic aims of Argus.
