Senior/Strategic Account Manager, Commodities & Energy Markets

What will you be doing?
Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking for a proactive Strategic Account Manager to join our highly successful commercial team.
We are looking for a pro-active self-starter who is keen to work in a team environment where there is a strong work/life balance. The key to success in this role will be developing an understanding of the client's business to tailor a data package that supports their commercial decisions and investment strategies.
- Build and identify growth opportunities within your territory from existing customers.
- Generate named account business by prospecting and by pursuing qualified leads within Strategic clients assigned to you.
- Coordinate and manage resources internally to maximize value for your clients and ensure a clear, communicated path to renewal and increased relationship.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Become the Trusted advisor to your clients ensuring they maximize their relationship with Argus, and are open to communications about new products, promotions, upcoming events and engaging in our customer feedback mechanisms.
- Manage all aspects of the administration of your accounts through excellent understanding and use of Argus’ CRM system and related technology.
What we’re looking for in you:
- Be independent, self-motivated and disciplined following-through sales cycles.
- Educated to Degree level or above.
- Experience in frontline information or B2B sales experience.
- Self-motivated, confident and results driven individual.
- Be a strong and professional communicator, liaising with international leaders effectively.
- Experience in the domestic commodities industry’s price data subscription sales environment is a bonus.

Travel
- Cover client meetings, conferences, and events (5-15% of travel in domestic market and Asia).
